Important Updates and Reminders

Important Updates and Reminders

Dear Parents / Caregivers,

Thank you for all that you have done to ensure that our return to school has been a successful experience for our school community. Just a few important updates and reminders:

Drop-off and pick-up

Arrival at School:

All students are to arrive between 8:30am - 8:50am. Please do not drop children off before 8:30am as there is no supervision prior to this time. Students are to enter school via the main gate on Marconi Road or the pedestrian gate on Bossley Road. Students move immediately to their classrooms on arrival.

Dismissal Times:

Our staggered dismissal times with specified grade exit points are:

  • 2:30pm Kindergarten who do not have older siblings dismissed.
  • 2:40pm Years 1 & 2 plus their younger siblings dismissed.
  • 2:50pm Years 3-6 plus their younger siblings dismissed.
  •

*Please note: Younger siblings will wait in their assigned area, with a teacher, for older siblings to collect them for dismissal. To avoid confusion with siblings, please advise your eldest child which gate you want the family to exit school from.

2:40pm…

Year 1 (plus younger siblings if appropriate) exit via small pedestrian gate on Marconi Road

*Please note: ALL ‘Kiss and Drop’ students must meet near the main gate on Marconi Road.

Road Safety:

Please assist us to keep our students and community members safe by following the road rules. Highway Patrol and Council Rangers often visit our area in support of our school. Fines in school zones are costly and attract demerit points.

Rapid Antigen Testing (RAT)

RAT Kits:

Thank you to our families who are participating in the RAT surveillance program. Participation in the RAT surveillance program is not mandatory, however it is one important measure to keep all of us safe.

Tomorrow, Monday 7 February 2022, your child will receive another kit of four RATs. This kit will provide your child with an additional two weeks of testing. RAT kits will be placed in school bags. Please ensure all RAT kits are removed from school bags tomorrow after school.

We strongly encourage all students be tested twice a week, in the morning prior to arriving at school, preferably on Mondays and Wednesdays.

*Please note: Parents/caregivers must register the positive RAT result through the Service NSW website or Service NSW app. The school must also be informed as soon as possible of a positive RAT or PCR result. Please contact the school on 96106286.

RAT Survey:

To help understand parent/caregiver perspectives and usage of department-supplied rapid antigen tests (RATs), the Department of Education has prepared a short survey.

The survey is voluntary and anonymous. It will take less than 3 minutes to complete. Responses will not be linked to the school or to students.

A link to the survey will be posted on Skoolbag app tomorrow, Monday 7 February 2022. The survey needs to be completed by close of business on Wednesday 9 February 2022.

Thank you for your continued support and cooperation.
