Schools from across the region paused last week to honour soldiers past and present with Anzac services during the first week of school.
On Wednesday, Bossley Park Public School had a record turnout to their Anzac service which was run by the student leaders. The service was attended by Warrant Officer Class 1 Greg Maher who is part of the Special Operations Engineer Regiment at Holsworthy Barracks and Sergeant Ian Stenning who is a bugler in the Australian Army Band. A special component of the the service featured the laying of wreaths on bases that spelt out the word ANZAC which were made by Fairfield City senior constable Matthew Green
