Official party and SRC in flagpole garden after ANZAC service

Schools from across the region paused last week to honour soldiers past and present with Anzac services during the first week of school.

On Wednesday, Bossley Park Public School had a record turnout to their Anzac service which was run by the student leaders. The service was attended by Warrant Officer Class 1 Greg Maher who is part of the Special Operations Engineer Regiment at Holsworthy Barracks and Sergeant Ian Stenning who is a bugler in the Australian Army Band. A special component of the the service featured the laying of wreaths on bases that spelt out the word ANZAC which were made by Fairfield City senior constable Matthew Green
