Mathematics is taught as a one hour block session from Monday to Friday by K-6 teachers. Programs are tailored to meet individual needs. This includes ability based groups and the assistance of support teachers in classrooms.

Guided reading sessions are an integral part of the school's literacy program. Students are grouped according to their reading ability and are provided with a tailor made reading program. Students are able to benefit from the small group situation with specialised instruction.
